In the mid-eighties, the PPG Wave was one of these must-have dream synthesizers, its astounding digi-tal crystal sound so highly fascinating, from Depeche Mode to Talk Talk... Unfortunately, at the time its price was uncanny too. By the way, the name "PPG" stands for "Palm Products Germany", from its creator in Hamburg Wolfgang Palm...
Waldorf resurrected the brand in the 90's, with hardware like the Microwave, the Pulse, etc... and came along this cool VSTi software version. Still one of my favourite gears, with astounding personality. It’s still a little tricky to program, but I wouldn't do without it, since it's a brilliant and solid stuff, some-where between analog and digital, and something else . I'm quite found of the "something else".
